Festool Korea will launch the cordless miter saw 'SYMC 70' this coming August, a new product that enables quick and perfect finishing work on corner molding without the need to measure dimensions or perform calculations.
The cordless miter saw 'SYMC 70' allows the cutting angle to be set easily and quickly through an angle transfer device and symmetrical bevel guide operation, enabling cutting work to be performed uniquely faster than typical miter saws. In addition, it secures outstanding mobility and versatility through its compact dimensions, a snag-free battery system, and transport wheels mounted on the underside of the table. In particular, with the bevel guides that are simultaneously adjusted symmetrically, the new product enables precise settings for interior corner angles up to 68 degrees and exterior corner angles up to 60 degrees. The angle of a wall corner can be quickly set to its bisector without dimension calculation by using the angle transfer device included with the product. Furthermore, it can process workpieces up to a width of 80 mm and a cutting height of up to 70 mm, allowing for a wide range of applications. On top of this, its compact dimensions and light weight of 11.5 kg (weight excluding accessories and battery) provide excellent mobility and agility, and the smooth wheels allow the equipment to be quickly positioned even in tight spaces, enabling efficient work. Moreover, the brushless EC-TEC motor delivers the same maximum RPM of 3500 min⁻¹ as corded products, even while using a cordless battery. Beyond this, the new product stands out for details considered from the workers' perspective. The operating switch and handle are located at the center so that both right-handed and left-handed users can operate it easily, and ▲an LED spotlight that allows the cut line to be checked precisely enables accurate cutting; ▲a quick clamp (standard component) that can be flexibly positioned on the workbench allows the workpiece to be easily and safely fixed before work; ▲it can also be used in conjunction with Festool's Bluetooth high-quality dust extraction system, enabling work even in low-dust environments.
