Festool Korea is officially launching the ‘KHC 18’, a new cordless rotary hammer drill that delivers a powerful 12.6J of impact energy and offers versatile use with four operating modes, on the Korean market.
Festool’s new 2 kg-class cordless hammer drill ‘KHC 18’ delivers 2.6J of impact energy generated by its built-in, high-quality brushless EC-TEC motor, enabling fast, optimized drilling and demolition work across a wide range of applications including concrete, stone and masonry. In particular, it boasts powerful performance with a maximum no-load speed of 980 RPM and up to 4,650 BPM. It also features electronic KickbackStop technology for user safety, which immediately cuts off operation when the drill suddenly jams on rebar or hard aggregate during work, allowing safe operation. The four operating modes (▲hammering ▲drilling ▲hammer drilling ▲chiselling) allow flexible use tailored to the situation on ever-changing job sites. In addition, in hammer drilling mode it is best suited to drilling holes of 18 mm diameter in concrete, and can handle diameters up to a maximum of 26 mm. In drilling mode, the dedicated SDS Plus chuck and the keyless chuck can be swapped with one touch, so standard drill bits can also be used easily and simultaneously, and in chiselling mode it is useful for light demolition work on gypsum, lime plaster or tiles. Its smart design also stands out. A damping-type vibration reduction function minimizes the impact energy transmitted from the drill, and the ergonomic handle structure reduces stress during high-intensity work.
Using the dedicated accessories—▲the AV-BHC/KHC dust extraction adapter and ▲the D 27-BSD drilling dust extraction nozzle—together minimizes dust generation during work and ensures respiratory safety. It is also well equipped with convenient features such as an auxiliary handle that rotates left and right and through 360 degrees, a switch lock function that prevents sudden tool operation, a scaffold holder, and an optimal LED light.
