Carrier Air Conditioner has launched its 2024 window-type air conditioner. Carrier Air Conditioner has equipped the 'New Ultra Plus' with an '18-Step Air Control' function—the only such feature among domestic window-type air conditioners—allowing airflow to be adjusted across 18 levels according to the usage space, environment, and personal preference. In addition, the wide airflow blade, which rotates left and right up to 108 degrees, automatically controls the wind direction to adjust indoor temperature uniformly and quickly with no blind spots. The patented side-intake, front-discharge design prevents the cool air released from the front from being drawn back in, enabling effective cooling, while a variety of operating modes further enhance convenience. Furthermore, it is equipped with a 'low-noise, low-vibration twin rotary compressor' that embodies Carrier Air Conditioner's technological expertise, keeping noise to just 32 dB—about the level of a library. As such, it is expected to be highly useful not only in homes such as bedrooms and children's rooms, but also in spaces requiring concentration, such as study areas and offices. Along with this, the UV-C LED function addresses the problem of bacteria and mold, one of the common concerns when using an air conditioner in summer. Positioned between the fan and the heat exchanger through which the air passes, the UV-C LED reduces four major bacteria—pneumonia bacteria, E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus—by approximately 99.9%, while the self-cleaning function dries the moisture remaining on the heat exchanger on its own to suppress the growth of mold and odors. Moreover, the detachable air filter can be washed with water for hygienic use, and the drain outlet for discharging the condensate produced by the air conditioner is designed with a dual-drainage structure located on both the bottom and rear of the product, further increasing convenience. In addition, the Follow Me function, which detects indoor temperature through a sensor in the remote control rather than in the air conditioner, enables user-centered, comfortable temperature control. It also comes with an Easy Install Kit that allows simple installation by a single person, letting you easily install the product with just a screwdriver and no separate tools.
The new 'New Ultra Plus' is compact in size, making it easy to attach to and detach from a window or to store separately, while its large LCD display and matte-finished front do not overlook design elements either.
