Chemmart Korea Co., Ltd. has launched its new ‘Nova Hardwood Flooring ST Series’ and expanded its product lineup by adding new patterns in the ‘Rustic and Vintage’ lines to its existing hardwood flooring range.
The ‘Nova Hardwood Flooring ST Series’ measures 125×900×9㎜, which is the same as the existing ‘Nova Hardwood Flooring W Series,’ but differs in that it is 9㎜ thick. The ‘ST Series’ comes in a total of four patterns—Natural Oak, White Wash Oak, Khaki Brown, and Burgundy Rose—and, with its slimmer design, it lowers the unit price to reduce the cost burden on consumers while also delivering higher thermal conductivity under indoor heating conditions. Nova Maru, which has worked to correct the mistaken belief that ‘thicker hardwood flooring is always best,’ is the only company to produce hardwood flooring domestically, once again presenting hardwood flooring suited to Korea’s ondol (underfloor heating) culture.
In addition, new patterns for the existing ‘Nova Hardwood Flooring W Series and S Series’ have also been introduced. The new patterns consist of the ‘Rustic’ and ‘Vintage’ lines. In the Rustic line, △Rustic Teak and △Rustic Merbau have been added to the ‘W and S Series’ respectively, while in the Vintage line, three patterns—△Vintage Oak, △Vintage Sand Brown, and △Vintage Wave—have been added to the ‘W Series.’ The new Rustic line features designs that set it apart from ordinary teak and merbau species. Compared with ordinary teak, ‘Rustic Teak’ has a brighter yellow tone with deeper black lines, giving it a distinctive grain not seen in ordinary teak. The Rustic line’s ‘Rustic Merbau’ also features a redder, darker color than ordinary merbau, conveying a greater sense of depth. In addition, Nova Maru has recently renovated its headquarters showroom, where all of its hardwood flooring in operation can be viewed.
Meanwhile, this past September, Nova Maru participated in the 2018 Busan Kyunghyang Housing Fair, drawing consumers’ attention with its eco-friendly, domestically produced hardwood flooring and its patented flooring adhesive, ‘Hwangto Pul’ (ocher paste). A Nova Maru official said, “As more and more consumers take an interest in eco-friendly products, there are increasing cases of people demanding not simply good-looking interiors but healthy ones. Product awareness has now grown to the point where consumers recognize the products first and reach out to inquire about them,” adding, “Going forward, Nova Maru will firmly establish itself as a brand leading eco-friendly, domestically produced flooring & adhesives with outstanding product quality.” 02-575-8400
