COMMAX announced the launch of the 'CDV-70QT' wall pad, which lets users check visitors to the home or suspicious individuals at the door via smartphone, even when away from home.

When a visitor rings the doorbell, the product allows users to check the visitor on their smartphone and even hold a video call. It can also be integrated with a door lock to unlock the door remotely, and its door camera motion detection feature can save photos or videos of suspicious people lingering in front of the door.

In addition, the 'CDV-70QT' wall pad offers a security mode that lets users check for unauthorized intrusions and report or respond to them from a mobile device even while outside the home, as well as a closed-circuit television (CCTV) integration feature that monitors even the blind spots outside detached houses or townhouses. On top of this, its 2.0MP AHD door camera clearly identifies visitors, and while the motion detection feature saves 50 shots by default, a 128-gigabyte (GB) SD card can also be used.

Another advantage of the new product is that it enables smartphone calls largely regardless of housing type, including villas, detached houses, and older apartments. Whereas existing products required integration with a server or home network to make smartphone calls, the 'CDV-70QT' allows users to talk with visitors from outside via a mobile application (app) as long as Wi-Fi is connected. Installation is also simpler than with existing products.

The design belongs to the Q-series product lineup, a winner of the IDEA and Red Dot Design Awards—globally prestigious design awards—delivering excellent interior appeal. The TUYA platform applied to the product complies with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR46).

Lee Ki-sang, Managing Director of COMMAX's Marketing Division, said, "With the recent rise in single-person households, interest in access security has grown significantly," adding, "We developed the CDV-70QT with a home black box concept to reflect consumer demand for checking visitors via smartphone anytime, anywhere." 031-731-8791
