Coway has launched the ‘Icon Water Purifier 2,’ an upgrade to its existing Icon water purifier equipped with a range of advanced technologies.
The Coway ‘Icon Water Purifier 2’ is distinguished by dramatically enhanced hygiene achieved through innovative faucet hygiene management. The product runs 15 minutes of UV faucet sterilization every 6 hours and replaces the entire faucet with a new one every year. In addition, the faucet is designed as a cartridge type that can be easily detached and cleaned, and it is made of Tritan material to improve hygiene. Tritan is an eco-friendly material that is safe even for newborns, with no concerns about environmental hormones or risks from internal corrosion.
Moreover, the ‘2nd-generation electronic cooling system’—an evolution of the electronic cooling system that received favorable reviews in the previous model—has been applied to deliver higher cooling efficiency. In addition, the ‘Icon Water Purifier 2’ features a 7-inch Nanotrap filter system, one inch larger than the previous model, removing a total of 94 harmful substances—including algal bloom toxins that were difficult to eliminate with conventional filters, as well as viruses, environmental hormones, and hazardous heavy metals—to provide fresh water through direct water flow. It also upgrades the hot water temperature from the previous single stage (about 85°C) to four stages (about 45°C, about 70°C, about 85°C, and about 100°C), including ultra-high-temperature water at 100°C. Furthermore, based on advanced technologies such as AI Smart Diagnosis, it has obtained the Korean Standards Association’s ‘AI+’ artificial intelligence quality certification.
In addition, despite being an upgrade over the previous model, the Coway ‘Icon Water Purifier 2’ offers a slim size of 18 cm wide and 25 cm deep (excluding the tray), making it highly space-efficient in the kitchen. In particular, it comes in six trendy colors (Snow White, Truffle Silver, Pebble Grey, Blossom Pink, Mint Green, and Mineral Blue) so that customers can freely choose to match their interior and taste.
