Premium kitchen and bath brand Kohler has launched new faucet products from its ‘Occasion collection,’ a modern reinterpretation of mid-century design.
Kohler’s ‘Occasion collection’ is a bathroom series comprising faucets, showerheads, accessories and more. Mid-century refers to an interior style that was popular in the United States between 1940 and 1960 and is drawing renewed attention lately. The new ‘Occasion collection’ stands out for a design that reinterprets mid-century style through Kohler’s long-cultivated expertise.
This ‘Occasion collection’ is a line of bathroom faucets, distinguished by the ability to combine product styles, colors and more to suit the user’s taste and create the desired atmosphere. Depending on their preference, customers can choose and combine from two faucet body (spout) styles and three faucet handle styles. A total of eight finish colors is offered, and colors can be paired in a two-tone combination, allowing for striking, one-of-a-kind looks tailored to the bathroom’s interior.
The second key feature of the ‘Occasion collection’ is durability. It employs Kohler’s signature ceramic disc valve and has undergone one million cycles of life-cycle testing under conditions identical to those of a home bathroom environment. To verify its resistance to plating corrosion, it also passed a 96-hour Acid Salt Spray Test—four times the industry standard. Based on this testing, under typical use it can last nearly 50 years. It applies Kohler’s own finishing technology advanced in the aerospace and high-tech fields, and its special scratch-resistant function keeps it free of scratches and discoloration for years of use.
