Casa Roma, a distributor of tile building-finish materials, is drawing attention with the launch of its ‘Kongjagal Roma Tile’ (pea-gravel Roma tile) series.

The newly released tile series comes in a total of four colors — ▲Kongjagal Roma Burgundy, ▲Kongjagal Roma Beige, ▲Kongjagal Roma White, and ▲Kongjagal Roma Gray — and boasts a design that looks just like real pea gravel laid on the floor, along with a well-judged sense of molded texture. In particular, when installed in a space, the new product minimizes the shifting and lifting of pea-gravel flooring that have long been considered chronic defects of pea gravel, while delivering the open feel and upscale interior effect that tile provides. In addition, porcelain tiles such as the Kongjagal Roma Tile have high thermal conductivity, so they also offer heating benefits, such as maintaining temperature for a long time during floor heating. The product measures 600㎜×600㎜×12T and can be used as an interior and exterior finishing material for floors and walls.

A Casa Roma official said, “The product planner designed this new product after strolling through the streets of Rome, Italy, drawing inspiration from the roads and Roman architecture, and we focused on bringing out the molded texture in the design of each individual tile to create a three-dimensional effect and a sense of depth in the space,” adding, “By faithfully reproducing the feel of a pea-gravel surface, which is quite different from conventional tile designs, we expect it to attract great interest in the interior industry.” The new ‘Kongjagal Roma Tile’ product can be found at tile stores in the Seoul and Gyeonggi regions, as well as at the Gangnam showroom located on Nonhyeon-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

Meanwhile, ‘Casa Roma’ is a brand that reinterprets the architectural techniques and artistic wonders of ancient Rome and expresses them as building-finish materials, and its ‘Roma Tile Series’ was designed with inspiration from figures of Roman mythology. Under this year’s slogan, ‘Casa Roma, the Porcelain Tile with Warm Floors,’ Casa Roma announced its plan to transform from a company that directly imports and distributes Chinese and Italian porcelain tiles into a tile manufacturing and production brand. 1551-8533
