Hankuk Glass, a leader in Korea's glass industry, has recently launched ‘COOL-LITE SKG153II’, a gray double Low-E glass in an achromatic color that has become a favored choice for building exterior facades.
‘COOL-LITE SKG153II’ is a gray double Low-E glass product that creates a sophisticated facade, a high-performance, high-efficiency Low-E glass coated with two silver layers. Developed with a thermal transmittance of around 1.0W/m2K to meet the trend of strengthening insulation policies for buildings in Korea, it offers outstanding insulation performance and delivers excellent energy savings through its superior solar shielding performance. In particular, ‘COOL-LITE SKG153II’ blocks solar heat from outside during summer and daytime to lower cooling costs, and prevents heating warmth from escaping outside during winter and evening hours to save on heating costs.
‘COOL-LITE SKG153II’, Hankuk Glass's first new product of 2019, achieves its gray color through double Low-E coating alone. Moving away from the conventional method of applying a separate coating onto a gray-tinted base pane, this product realizes the gray color through coating alone, offering excellent cost-saving benefits and creating the distinctive depth of gray and an elegant building facade, making it well suited for upscale commercial buildings and mixed-use residential-commercial developments.
A Hankuk Glass official said, “With the launch of the COOL-LITE SKG153II, Hankuk Glass has established a lineup of three double Low-E products with the best insulation performance in Korea, alongside the blue SKN154II and the silver SKS143II,” adding, “We plan to provide consumers with product solutions that are both superior and available in a variety of colors.” 02-3706-9114
