LG Electronics unveiled 'PuriCare AeroFurniture', a new-concept table-type air purifier that can be used in various ways to suit customers' lifestyles, at Germany's home appliance exhibition 'IFA 2022'.
LG Electronics announced that, taking into account the recent increase in one- to three-person households and the lifestyles of customers who use air purifiers in various individual spaces such as bedrooms and studies, it plans to launch within the year an air purifier featuring a new convergence design measuring 27.5 cm wide and 55 cm tall. The 'LG PuriCare AeroFurniture' features the cylindrical design of the 'PuriCare 360˚ Air Purifier', which draws in air from all 360-degree directions at its lower part, while the upper part is designed so customers can choose between two table types: round and track-shaped. The product's cleaning coverage is 19.8㎡ (about 6 pyeong).
LG Electronics also applied mood lighting to the underside of the 'PuriCare AeroFurniture' table. Customers can select one of eight lighting colors in the LG ThinQ app and adjust the brightness across two levels. Through the wireless charging ring on top of the table, smartphones, wireless earbuds and more can also be charged.
The new product also inherits the outstanding air purification performance of the 'PuriCare 360' air purifier. The air purification filter delivers antiviral and antibacterial effects as well as removing ultrafine dust and five major harmful gases, including ammonia, formaldehyde, toluene, acetic acid and acetaldehyde. This product has obtained ▲the Korea Air Cleaning Association's Clean Air (CA) certification for cleaning performance, ▲Korea Asthma Allergy Foundation certification, and ▲British Allergy Foundation certification.
The exterior material of the 'LG PuriCare AeroFurniture' uses recycled plastic made from materials extracted from waste electronic devices. This is part of LG Electronics' environmental, social and governance (ESG) management practices aimed at creating a better environment by pursuing the resource recovery of waste and a circular economy.
The new 'LG PuriCare AeroFurniture' is available in a choice of three colors: Cream Rose, Cream Yellow and Cream Gray. LG will also introduce two limited-edition tables, 'Travail' and 'Secret admirer', created in collaboration with artist Kim Sun-woo, whose dodo-bird-motif series has gained great popularity among the MZ generation. 1544-7777
