Festool Korea, the premium power tool brand, is launching the 'TXS 18,' a new T-grip cordless compact drill that combines exceptionally light weight with powerful performance to boost productivity on the job site.
The new 'TXS 18' offers an unrivaled product weight among compact-class drills at 700g (weight excluding battery and accessories), with dimensions of 14㎝ in length and 22.4㎝ in height (including 3.0Ah battery)—an ultra-compact spec rarely seen in conventional 18V-class drills. In particular, the 'TXS 18' is designed with an ergonomic T-grip familiar to Korean operators (C-grip model CXS 18: length 15.6㎝ / height 20.6㎝), and with its next-generation brushless EC-TEC motor and 18V drive output, it delivers remarkably powerful performance despite being a compact model. It combines impressive power capable of easily handling a 35㎜ diameter Forstner bit in softwood timber or driving a 6㎜ diameter, 240㎜ long screw. In addition, when the 'TXS 18' is fitted with the CENTROTEC chuck developed by Festool, it enables work with a chuck that is 80% lighter and 50% shorter in overall length than a standard drill chuck. Combined with accessories such as the lightweight keyless chuck exclusively for the TXS&CXS 18 included as standard, and the dedicated lightweight angle chuck accessory, users can secure the best working efficiency and portability. A variety of thoughtfully designed detail features are also an advantage. The switch, which allows easy torque adjustment across 13 settings, enables precise and delicate work, while the magnetic bit holder attached beneath the handle allows bits to be changed easily during work, boosting productivity. Furthermore, Festool's various drill chucks and CENTROTEC accessories equipped with the smart FastFix interface can be swapped with a single touch, and the integrated LED lighting ensures optimized work visibility for accurate work even in dark spaces.
In addition, the 'TXS 18' is launching as part of the 18V 'Legend 7' portfolio, for which Festool has reduced prices exclusively in Korea to get closer to its customers. A Festool representative said, "The 'TXS 18,' an exceptionally light compact-class drill, is a product that can be used for a wide range of tasks," adding, "Through the TXS 18 & CXS 18, now offered at an affordable price under the Legend 7 strategy, we recommend that many operators take their first step into leveling up with Festool."
