Premium power tool brand Festool Korea launched the 'SCA 16' rapid charger in May, capable of ultra-fast charging for 18V batteries and batteries of various voltages.
Festool's new 'SCA 16' charges twice as fast as the previous model (SCA 8), delivering a charging current of 16Ah, making it the fastest ultra-high-speed battery charger at the top level in the 18V power tool industry. The new product makes Festool's 8.0Ah high-capacity battery (coming soon) ready to use again in just 27 minutes, and it is well suited for rapid charging of high-capacity batteries with a current of 5.0Ah or more. In addition, it can charge battery packs of various voltages with high compatibility, including 10.8V and 18V Li-HighPower batteries (including AIRSTREAM 4.0Ah, 5.0Ah, 6.2Ah, and 8.0Ah (coming soon)) and 18V Ergo batteries (excluding the BP-XS for CXS/TXS 10.8V).
In particular, a major advantage of the 'SCA 16' is its application of AIRSTREAM intelligent active cooling technology, which automatically cools a battery — inevitably heated after high-load, high-output work — right before charging so that charging can begin immediately. The AIRSTREAM function of the 'SCA 16' performs cooling right before charging, as well as during charging whenever it determines that cooling is needed, delivering ultra-fast charging with the battery in optimal condition so users can quickly return to work. Festool's confidence in the performance of the 'SCA 16' is also evident in the 3-year free repair service included in its premium WAI service. Festool's 3-year free repair service policy is provided for battery chargers without exception, so if a malfunction occurs within 36 months of the purchase date, users can focus solely on their work without bearing repair costs.
