Room in Earth has launched the ‘Premium Puzzle Mat,’ a floor-impact-noise mat. Recently, the Korea Consumer Agency found that mats used over long periods or installed in high-traffic locations contained non-phthalate plasticizers—harmful substances—leading to recalls of certain products. Accordingly, the agency advised that it is preferable to use products made of low-toxicity thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and, based on the findings of this investigation, recommended using eco-friendly floor mats in children’s play areas.

Room in Earth’s new ‘Premium Puzzle Mat’ is made 20 mm thick to reduce floor-impact noise, and it has been upgraded with an interlocking-connector locking structure that joins the puzzle pieces together, making it easy to attach and detach while also fitting together securely. In addition, it is a customizable product that can be installed to fit your interior layout, allowing for self-installation. Furthermore, the ‘Premium Puzzle Mat’ is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and has been awarded the KC Children’s Product Certification, phthalate-plasticizer testing, testing for the eight major harmful substances, KCL antibacterial certification, and an official KOTITI radon test report, so it can be used safely in children’s play areas.

A Room in Earth representative said, “Because TPU floor-impact-noise mats used over long periods often look similar to one another, when purchasing a children’s mat you can ease concerns about environmental hormones and harmful substances by choosing a product that holds certifications from accredited testing rather than making price your top priority.”

Meanwhile, to celebrate the launch of its new product, Room in Earth is running promotions offering a gift voucher for writing a photo review at the shopping mall where the product is purchased, as well as a Shinsegae gift certificate for posting on parenting cafés and social media. 1688-3128
