Signify Korea has launched 'Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box,' a smart lighting solution designed to support an immersive home entertainment environment.
The 'Hue Sync Box' works by connecting to any HDMI device—not only console games such as PlayStation and Xbox, but also various streaming devices for movies and music, set-top boxes, and DVD players. The product synchronizes all content playing on connected HDMI devices, extending the color of the smart lighting beyond the screen to match the on-screen video and sound. It supports up to four HDMI connections. Whenever the on-screen image changes, the connected lights respond just as quickly, as if they were one, so you can enjoy action movies and fast-paced games. In particular, rather than emitting light of a single fixed color, the lights each emit appropriate light from different positions according to the colors at the top, bottom, left, and right of the screen, heightening the sense of immersion.
In addition, using Philips' dedicated 'Hue Sync' mobile application (app), you can adjust the brightness of the light and the intensity of the synchronization. Up to 10 smart lights can be connected.
Kang Yong-nam, President of Signify Northeast Asia, said, "The Hue Sync Box is a product launched for consumers who have a strong interest in entertainment such as games, movies, and music at a time when many leisure activities are being restricted due to COVID-19."
Meanwhile, the 'Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box' can be purchased through major online channels such as the Naver Store, and is priced at 320,000 won. 1670-6147
