Global lighting company Signify Korea (formerly Philips Lighting Korea) has launched the ‘Philips LED System Home Lighting APEX,’ which minimizes blue-light risk with high-quality LEDs.

Unlike conventional lighting, ‘Philips LED System Home Lighting’ can be used individually or with a system bracket that connects two or more modules together. This allows customized arrangements in a variety of combinations, and it is also effective at reducing electricity bills, saving about 54% in energy compared to the company’s own fluorescent lamps.

The newly released ‘Philips LED System Home Lighting APEX’ comes in a total of four types—two each: square and rectangular room/living-room lights, and long-type and short-type kitchen lights. Boasting a long lifespan of 20,000 hours and minimizing the risk of blue light with high-quality LEDs, it is designed and manufactured according to strict standards, showing a marked difference in light quality compared to other companies’ products.

In particular, the ‘Philips LED System Home Lighting APEX’ is a Philips ‘Eye Comfort’ product, a designation applied only to products certified at the highest grade of the international photobiological safety standard ‘IEC62471,’ further enhancing consumer trust. ‘IEC62471’ is an international standard that determines whether the blue light emitted by lighting products is harmful to the human body, including the skin, eyes, and retina.
