Global lighting company Signify Korea (formerly Philips Lighting Korea) has officially launched the ‘Philips LED USB Auxiliary Light,’ previously sold on a trial basis through select online channels, across both online and offline markets.

The newly released ‘Philips LED USB Auxiliary Light’ is an auxiliary light that can be easily connected anytime, anywhere thanks to its USB port power supply and lightweight design. The ‘Philips LED USB Auxiliary Light’ comes in two versions—a short type (280㎜, 3.6W) and a long type (450㎜, 5.6W)—and is officially sold at E-Mart stores nationwide and online.

Launched as a USB port-type product, the ‘Philips LED USB Auxiliary Light’ offers a wide range of uses. It can be powered in various ways—via a laptop, power bank, charger, and more—making it easy to use not only indoors but also outdoors.

Installation is also simple. Depending on the installation method, it can be attached and detached and adjusted to any desired angle, providing comfortable, soft light suited to a variety of uses such as a reading light, makeup light, camping light, or auxiliary lighting.

Another key feature of the ‘Philips LED USB Auxiliary Light’ is its two-step brightness control with a single switch. Step one is a relaxation mode with soft, subtle brightness, useful as a mood light or while camping, while step two, the focus mode, provides brighter light for activities that require concentration, such as reading and work.

In addition, the ‘Philips LED USB Auxiliary Light’ bears the Philips ‘Eye Comfort’ mark, which is applied only to products that have earned the highest-grade certification under IEC62471, the international photobiological safety standard—further enhancing consumer confidence. IEC62471 is an international standard that assesses whether ultraviolet, blue light, infrared, and other emissions from lighting products are harmful to the human body, including the skin, eyes, and retina.
