‘Philips UV-C Air Sterilizer,’ a new product from the global lighting company Signify Korea (formerly Philips Lighting Korea), made its debut through a Wadiz funding campaign ahead of its official launch.

Having specialized in sterilization research for a long time—producing not only UV-C sterilization lamps for over 35 years but also finished sterilization devices ranging from commercial sterilizers to home units—Philips boasts high sterilizing power and safety. The ‘Philips UV-C Air Sterilizer,’ now making its debut on Wadiz, is a product that boasts high sterilizing power, equipped with a high-capacity UV-C light source and having obtained certified test results for its ability to eliminate numerous viruses and bacteria, including the COVID-19 virus. Adopting a powerful yet low-noise motor, it draws in air, disinfects it, and expels it through a 3-stage ‘intake–sterilize–exhaust’ circulating air sterilization process, which is expected to improve indoor air quality.

Through Philips’ own superior technology, the ‘Philips UV-C Air Sterilizer’ prevents UV-C exposure during sterilization and, with its safe-mode function, allows the whole family—including households with children—to use it with peace of mind. In addition, the fan speed can be adjusted from stage 1 to stage 3 to suit the situation, and it is even equipped with a timer function so that a space can be sterilized even while you are out.

Kang Yong-nam, President of Signify for the Northeast Asia region, emphasized, “Drawing on our long experience in the lighting business, Signify has strengthened its lineup of sterilizers with proven effectiveness for a variety of uses,” adding, “Now, going beyond the realm of providing light, we will do our best to offer safer spaces so that the precious daily lives of many people can be protected.” 1670-6147
