Hankuk Glass, a leader in Korea's glass industry, has renewed and released its 'Real Grey Series,' a lineup of three grey-colored double Low-E glass products.
'Real Grey' was launched in July of last year. By coating the glass surface with a silver film, it delivers excellent thermal insulation performance while achieving a neutral grey color in both transmission and reflection, and it has been steadily applied to landmark-scale large projects. Hankuk Glass actively took in this demand and consumer feedback and renewed the existing 'Real Grey' into an upgraded product with unrivaled performance added. A key feature of the new product is that it is Korea's first double Low-E glass that can be used as either tempered or non-tempered by choice. Since a single base sheet can be selectively used as either tempered or non-tempered, inventory management is easier and inventory burden can be reduced. In addition, companies that do not have a tempering line can now supply 'Real Grey' products on their own, and processing productivity has improved as the number of processing steps is shortened. When used as non-tempered, it can be applied to residential or small commercial buildings, and when used as tempered, it is suitable for high-rise commercial buildings. However, because differences in performance and color occur before and after tempering, mixed use within a single building is not possible.
The product codes of the 'Real Grey Series' have been changed from SKG139II, SKG144II, and SKG149II to SKG139T, SKG144T, and SKG149T. In the product code name, when 'II' follows the number, the product must be tempered before use, while 'T' indicates a product that can be used as either tempered or non-tempered by choice. In the performance table, 'T' indicates non-tempered and 'T(HS)' indicates the characteristics after tempering, so you should check whether '(HS)' is noted in the code name.
