Hanssem Co., Ltd. (CEO Kang Seung-soo), a comprehensive home interior specialist, has moved to strengthen its unrivaled competitiveness in the Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart home sector.
Hanssem has launched ‘Hanssem Built-in Plus Smart Lighting,’ which lets users easily adjust the color and brightness of lighting built into furniture via voice or an app.
With the smart lighting, users can create different moods to suit their feelings and tastes. By presetting a variety of lighting colors and brightness levels to match the desired atmosphere for a space — such as a ‘bedroom that promotes deep sleep’ or a ‘living room where you can focus on watching a movie’ — customers can control everything at once with voice commands through Google Home, Google’s AI speaker.
In particular, ‘Hanssem Built-in Plus Smart Lighting’ works in conjunction with the existing ‘Motion Bed’ to provide an even more comfortable sleep environment. It can automatically turn the various lights in a space off or on as the user falls asleep or wakes up. It also supports a range of bedroom activities such as watching TV and reading.
Hanssem’s ‘Motion Bed’ features a sleep sensor built into the mattress that detects the user’s condition and automatically adjusts the bed’s angle. When the user snores, the upper part of the mattress slowly rises to lift the head, helping to relieve snoring. In addition, when an alarm time is set, the bed angle automatically moves to the preset value at the wake-up time and music plays to help the user get up. It can also analyze sleep patterns by detecting the ratios of deep sleep, light sleep, REM sleep, and more during the night. Hanssem plans to use the smart lighting, together with its existing ‘Motion Bed,’ as a flagship item in its sleep business that helps modern people sleep soundly. The new product, ‘Hanssem Built-in Plus Smart Lighting,’ is available at offline stores including Hanssem Design Park, Hanssem Rehaus dealerships, and Hanssem Interior dealerships.
A Hanssem official said, “To lead trends in the home IoT field, Hanssem is focusing on developing products and services whose functions can be expanded and advanced through collaboration with a variety of companies,” adding, “Going forward, we will take the lead as a company driving the smart home sector by proposing living spaces that make diverse use of artificial intelligence.” 1688-4945
