Hanssem Co., Ltd. (CEO Kang Seung-soo), a comprehensive home interior specialist, is launching three new products for the upcoming first-half 2022 new-semester season: the study furniture line 'UNIT,' and the children's room furniture lines 'KOTI' and 'Mooie.'
As the spread of COVID-19 has made 'homeschooling' and 'online classes,' in which students study and attend lessons at home, as well as 'working from home' more commonplace, a growing number of people are looking for furniture such as desks and bookshelves that can improve learning efficiency and work focus at home. In response, Hanssem is presenting a new lineup of study and children's room products that offer not only design but also a variety of functions and practicality.
Hanssem's new study and home office package 'UNIT' consists of a desk, lower cabinet, and accessory modules. Depending on the type, the UNIT desk allows for four main desk combinations, so it can be configured with the desired product among a standard desk and connecting desks (compact desk, storage-specialized desk, and H-type desk). In addition, freely movable shelves can be mixed and matched with irregularly shaped bookshelves and console cabinets, allowing you to complete a customized study of your own.
Hanssem's new children's room product 'KOTI' is offered in three types: the 'straight desk,' a basic desk module; the 'standalone desk' module, which allows for various layout styles tailored to a child's learning habits; and the 'functional desk' module, whose height can be adjusted as the child grows. Hanssem also launched three types of beds, along with bookshelves and wardrobes, so that an entire children's room can be furnished as a set with 'KOTI.'
The 'KOTI' desk features a rounded design that serves as a design point, along with pastel-tone colors such as blue and lavender. Two USB charging ports and an electrical outlet are placed on the front of the desk to enable learning through smart devices, and efforts were also made to enhance durability, such as reinforcing the desk shelf with anti-warping hardware and adding a support beam to the back panel of the desk.
The children's room product 'Mooie,' launched alongside the others, is offered in a combination of two types of beds, three bed packages, two types of bookshelves, and three types of storage cabinets. The beds are designed as low beds, lower than ordinary beds, and can be chosen between a two-guard bed with guards installed on both sides so that children can sleep safely, and a daybed-type bed with a full guard installed on one side. A variety of package products that can furnish a children's room together with the 'Mooie' bed—such as benches, bookshelves, teaching-aid storage cabinets, hangers, and tall wardrobes—were also launched, and it is offered in two colors: ivory and pink.
In particular, 'Mooie' is very sturdy and solid, using birch wood, which grows in cold regions and has a dense grain that keeps it from rotting or cracking over time. In addition, the corners of the guards are rounded for children's safety, and they are finished with an eco-friendly oil coating for even greater peace of mind.
