Hanssem (CEO Kang Seung-soo), a comprehensive home interior company, has launched a new ‘Folding Door’ featuring 26㎜ glass specifications.
A folding door is a window installed between the living room and the balcony that can be folded or unfolded like a curtain. Once installed, it allows the balcony to be used as spaciously as the living room without any separate expansion construction.
On top of this, with its added interior design appeal, a growing number of customers are using folding doors to style their balconies like home cafés. However, because folding doors fold and unfold, they have the drawback of poorer insulation compared to standard single-piece windows.
To overcome this drawback, Hanssem has introduced a new product with 26㎜ glass—about 4㎜ thicker than the 22㎜ glass typically used in folding doors. Through this, Hanssem expects to achieve the dual benefit of improved insulation as well as soundproofing. In addition, it prevents warm indoor heat from escaping outside and blocks cold outside air from entering the home, helping to save on heating and cooling costs.
A Hanssem representative said, “Customers preparing for interior construction carefully compare and thoughtfully select interior products related to insulation, such as windows and interior doors,” adding, “With a cold snap expected this winter, we hope customers will prepare interior construction that captures both space utilization and insulation with the new Hanssem folding door and its enhanced glass thickness.”
Meanwhile, Hanssem offers a wide range of window products suited to various spaces such as the living room, master bedroom, and balcony. Hanssem PVC windows likewise feature a 26㎜ thickness with excellent insulation and noise-blocking performance.
In addition, the gaps between the glass and the window frame are finished with premium gaskets and glazing tape in the manner of system windows, so unlike when silicone windows are used, they can be used cleanly in their original condition for a long time without discoloration or staining. 1688-4945
