Hyundai Elevator (CEO Song Seung-bong) announced the launch of its ‘Clean Moving Solution,’ designed to minimize contact in elevators—a shared space—and reduce the spread of contaminants.
The most notable feature is ‘H-Mobile Through,’ which applies Bluetooth tagging technology. Inspired by the ‘walk-through’ style screening clinic, the product allows users to call an elevator via a smartphone app, and by entering and tagging their destination floor, they can use the elevator without any contact. Also unveiled alongside it is the ‘Motion Call Button,’ which detects when a passenger moves their hand up or down using a special motion-recognition sensor and calls the elevator accordingly.
To maintain cleanliness inside the elevator, HEPA filter technology has been applied. The HEPA filter is used in an automatic heating and cooling fan that recognizes the interior temperature and maintains an appropriate level on its own, as well as in an anion air purifier that allows real-time monitoring of air cleanliness. In-house testing confirmed that it reduces fine dust concentrations by up to 78%.
In addition, the ‘Clean Moving Solution’ includes a ‘Touchless Button’ for entering the destination floor without contact, a ‘Touchless Foot Button’ that detects foot movement instead of hand movement to call the elevator, an ‘Anti-Viral Rail’ that blocks germs, and a ‘UV Handrail Sterilizer’ for escalators.
An official from Hyundai Elevator said, “As COVID-19 continues, customer interest in untact technology for shared facilities such as elevators and escalators is growing significantly,” adding, “To provide smart and safe spaces, we are also reviewing the release of new products that apply key technologies as standard going forward.” 02-3670-0760
