Hyundai L&C's 2023 residential sheet flooring, 'Artium,' is receiving a favorable response from consumers.
'Artium' is a new brand positioned as a mid-grade offering between the affordably priced 'Myeongga' and the highly functional 'Sorizium,' and it is a sound-insulating floor featuring a highly elastic cushion layer. The new product consists of 6 stone patterns and 10 wood patterns in thicknesses of 2.7㎜ and 3.2㎜, broadening the range of choices.
The brand name 'Artium' is derived from the Latin word 'Artium,' meaning 'art,' reflecting the intention to embody Hyundai L&C's artistic value. Accordingly, its strength in terms of design is a defining feature. In particular, the unit pattern size—the interval at which a pattern repeats—has increased from the previous 1250㎜ to a maximum of 1800㎜, minimizing repetition and expanding the range of achievable designs. In addition, a variety of wide designs have been newly introduced. The stone patterns render 450×900㎜ big tiles, while the wood patterns reproduce the feel of wide plank hardwood flooring up to 163㎜ in width. Both patterns boast the largest size among Hyundai L&C's sheet flooring products, expanding customers' options.
Furthermore, EIR (Emboss In Register) technology, which aligns the pattern with the surface texture, has been applied to all 'Artium' products, expressing the beauty of natural materials more realistically through a distinctive three-dimensional, synchronized emboss. Six types of edge designs that express the seams have also been introduced, and the method best suited to each pattern has been adopted, doubling the sense of realism. Moreover, 'Artium' places particular emphasis on differentiating its stone designs. Among them, 'French Stone' is a product that conveys the inherent texture of stone along with a soft, flowing feel, harmonizing well with beige- and gray-toned furniture. For wood patterns, the 163㎜ wide pattern distinctive to 'Artium' is recommended.
'Artium' excels not only in design but also in functionality. Living noise is reduced by as much as 20dB compared to the 78dB of impact noise on bare floors, and its high slip resistance means it can be used safely even in homes with the elderly or children. In particular, it is a product optimized for households with pets: with fewer gaps, it does not readily allow toileting accidents to seep in, and its shock absorption and anti-slip effects can even help prevent patellar luxation. 080-729-8272
