Eco-friendliness proven with top-grade Environmental Labelling Certification and HB Mark
Homecc Interior, the interior specialty brand of KCC Glass, has relaunched its eco-friendly residential PVC flooring 'Sup Ok.'
Well known as the 'Ok (Jade) mat,' 'Sup Ok' is one of Homecc Interior's flagship flooring products, earning steady consumer affection for 25 years since its launch thanks to its excellent quality and reasonable price. A highly preferred 2.2㎜-thick PVC flooring, it has fewer seams than hardwood products, making it resistant to contamination caused by foreign matter penetration. In addition, a UV layer applied to its surface gives it outstanding durability against dents and scratches, making it easy to maintain. Furthermore, 'Sup Ok' was the first in the flooring industry to earn the Korea Atopy Association's recommended product mark, and its eco-friendliness has been proven by earning the Ministry of Environment's official Environmental Labelling Certification and the top grade of the Korea Air Cleaning Association's eco-friendly building material (HB Mark).
With this relaunch, 'Sup Ok' has strengthened its range of stone and wood pattern designs that reflect interior trends. First, a 600-square (600×600㎜ square) stone pattern design—recently popular among consumers—has been added. 600-square tiles can create a spacious, upscale look and were long used mainly in commercial spaces, but demand for them has been rising in residential spaces amid the recent boom in interior upgrading. Reflecting this market trend, Homecc Interior applied the 600-square stone pattern design to 'Sup Ok' as well, allowing consumers to recreate the feel of a space finished with actual 600-square tiles while retaining the advantages of PVC flooring, such as excellent underfoot comfort and superior floor-heating efficiency.
A wood pattern design that captures the feel of wide-plank flooring has also been newly added to 'Sup Ok.' By enlarging the unit-pattern dimensions—the interval at which the pattern repeats—the repetition was reduced to enhance the sense of visual spatial expansion. In addition, a registered embossing technology that aligns the printed pattern with the surface embossing was applied to render the wood's inherent texture more realistically and elegantly.
A KCC Glass official said, "Sup Ok, beloved by consumers for 25 years, has been reborn as a new flooring product through this relaunch," adding, "We plan to continue introducing a variety of products that meet consumer needs in line with changing market trends."
Meanwhile, KCC Glass Homecc Interior's flooring is an officially recommended product of the Korean Society of Interior Designers (KOSID), and its excellent quality was recognized when it ranked No. 1 in the PVC flooring category for the 14th consecutive year at the 2023 Korea Standard Quality Excellence Index (KS-QEI) hosted by the Korean Standards Association (KSA) last year.
