LG Hausys has launched the ‘Semi-Non-Combustible Sheet,’ a wall covering that gives building materials and structures the ability to resist the spread of fire.
The newly released ‘LG Z:IN Semi-Non-Combustible Sheet’ is an interior decorative finish that strikes an even balance across three qualities: it is safe, thanks to its semi-non-combustible performance and fire-spread-resistance, while also offering excellent scratch resistance and a refined design. It can be applied in facilities that are required by the ‘Special Act on the Safety Control of Publicly Used Establishments’ to use materials rated semi-non-combustible or higher, such as restaurants, karaoke rooms, and postnatal care centers.
Unlike ordinary wallpaper, this new product uses a base layer of semi-non-combustible material, so it is distinguished by its low potential to spread fire and its low emission of hazardous substances such as toxic gases; it has obtained a semi-non-combustible performance certificate from the Korea Fire Institute (KFI). In addition, the ‘LG Z:IN Semi-Non-Combustible Sheet’ applies a high-strength coating layer for outstanding scratch resistance. Because the surface is not easily scratched or torn, it is easy to maintain even in facilities used by large numbers of people, such as publicly used establishments.
Beyond this, the ‘LG Z:IN Semi-Non-Combustible Sheet’ offers a rich variety of designs not seen in conventional semi-non-combustible materials such as paint or stone, allowing it to create the warm feel unique to wallpaper. Available in a total of 16 colors—including ‘Bianco,’ which beautifully captures the luxurious marble pattern of natural stone; ‘Onyx,’ which adds a subtle sheen to a delicate marble pattern; and ‘Fabric,’ which recreates the warm touch and material feel unique to textiles—it lets consumers design interiors to suit their tastes.
An LG Hausys official said, “The newly launched semi-non-combustible sheet is a product that adds safety to a space while enabling stylish interiors through its distinctive design,” adding that “it will help make indoor spaces both safer and more sophisticated.” 080-005-4000
