Bosch Power Tools Launches the ‘GKM 18V-50,’ a Professional Cordless Circular Saw for Spark-Free Metal Cutting

The new product combines a powerful motor delivering a no-load speed of up to 4,250 rpm with features optimized for metal cutting. Because it does not produce the sparks that commonly fly when cutting metal, it can be used safely even at worksites sensitive to fire. In addition, chips (debris) generated during metal cutting are automatically collected in a bin on the front of the tool, making the process highly efficient.

A variety of features have also been incorporated for user safety. The smart electronic brake automatically stops operation when the tool is not in use, ensuring safety while preventing damage to the workpiece. A ‘soft start’ function is also available, which gradually accelerates the blade from low to high speed at startup.

The product’s ergonomic design further enhances working convenience. A balanced grip combined with a lightweight body weighing just 2.2 kg reduces fatigue during work. The included parallel guide can be attached and detached as needed, improving work efficiency. In addition, a steel base plate with a cutting indicator to aid precise cutting, an LED light to illuminate the workpiece, and a hook for hanging the tool make cutting and maintenance more convenient and accurate than before.

Festool Launches the ‘KSC 60’ Cordless Miter Saw as a New Product for January 2023

Festool’s sawing product line is well known for its outstanding quality, and the new ‘KSC 60’ has been eagerly awaited by many on-site workers and Festool enthusiasts. With the launch of the KSC 60, Festool plans to strengthen its 18V cordless tool lineup and actively pursue the interior woodworking market.

The KSC 60 combines a next-generation brushless EC-TEC motor with a dual-battery system, delivering nearly unlimited runtime over the course of a day and work performance equivalent to that of a corded tool. The dual-battery system is powered by two of Festool’s 18V batteries (5.2 Ah or higher), securing the mobility of a cordless tool while retaining the powerful performance and precision of Festool’s existing corded KS 60 miter saw.

The precision of the cutting quality is carried over directly from the corded KS 60. With miter angles of up to 60 degrees on both sides and bevel angles of 47/46 degrees to the left and right, it offers versatile use, while the cutting guide’s dual-support, dual-bearing system enables precise cutting without friction or wobble. A pull-out extension table allows long workpieces to be handled safely and precisely as well.

The KSC 60 also incorporates Festool’s smart working system. Using the angle transfer device, which lets you copy both the interior and exterior angles of a corner, you can quickly achieve the right fitting angle, and it easily connects to Festool’s dust extraction system, allowing dust-free work when used with a Festool dust extractor. Even when a dust extractor cannot be used, a dust bag can be attached to minimize dust generation on site. Using the material-specific cutting blades available as an additional purchase further increases work efficiency.

AImSAK Launches a 14.4V BLDC Cordless Pruning Shear

The new product is a 550W-class MID cordless electric pruning shear in the 14.4V voltage group. As a plug-in battery pruning shear type, it ensures high convenience and portability (960 g, including battery), while its ergonomic grip design with a minimized grip diameter delivers a comfortable grip. It is equipped with a high-quality blade to maintain consistent cutting power over the long term, and with three batteries it can be operated all day long. According to interviews with pruning shear users, three 3.0 Ah batteries using domestically produced battery cells together with a three-slot charger enabled all-day operation, and the product received favorable reviews for being easy to organize and for its design.

AImSAK manufactures everything domestically, from the pruning shear to the battery, and unlike off-the-shelf products for which after-sales service is difficult, it minimizes maintenance issues and inconveniences through 3-Day System A/S support, just like AImSAK’s power tools. AImSAK plans to continue releasing new products based on its own purely domestic technology throughout 2023, and it also has plans to expand its new 14.4V series lineup.

DeWALT Launches the ‘20V MAX FLEXVOLT Advantage 5-Inch Grinder,’ Further Upgraded With an Added Speed Control Function

The new product boasts strong power and excellent performance, and is characterized by an added speed control function over the existing model (DCG409) to improve work efficiency. In particular, the addition of the speed control function allows the speed to be adjusted from level 1 (3,000 rpm) to level 6 (8,000 rpm) depending on the operator and the task at hand, making it even more convenient to use across a variety of worksites.

Another advantage is that it can be fitted with the ‘FLEXVOLT’ variable-voltage battery that can be used with all ‘60V MAX’ and ‘20V MAX’ products. By attaching the FLEXVOLT battery, which automatically converts voltage, power can be boosted by up to 70% (when the DCB609 is attached), delivering enhanced performance with a maximum output of 1,647W. An improved electronic module aids battery recognition, making high-current handling easy as well.

As one of the FLEXVOLT Advantage lineup, it delivers strong power while also featuring a compact size that is highly usable in tight spaces. The ‘20V MAX FLEXVOLT Advantage 5-Inch Grinder (DCG409VS)’ has a shorter, lower gear case that allows work even in confined spaces, and boasts a light weight of 1.85 kg on a bare-tool basis. It prioritizes not only work efficiency but also excellent durability and operator safety. Safety is enhanced by an E-Clutch function that stops the blade from rotating in the event of an overload, and durability is improved by a mesh guard that prevents contamination from dust penetrating the motor. In addition, a slow start function and a one-touch guard system support safe and convenient use of the product.

Milwaukee Launches the Cordless M18 FUEL Portable Pipe Threader

The most notable aspect of this new product is that it is a cordless pipe threader. Unlike the conventional method in which the user had to inconveniently prepare a power cord to work, pipe threading can be performed anytime, anywhere without a separate power cord. Furthermore, its various features enable safe, convenient, and efficient pipe threading work.

The new product supports more convenient work for the operator with its lightweight body and die head, along with an ergonomically designed side grip. In addition, a double-sided die head fixing device enables stable work in both directions, and an auto-stop sensor cuts off power in the event of kickback, enhancing user safety. The basic configuration includes the tool body along with an auxiliary fixing device that eliminates the need for a pipe stand, plus dies and a die head capable of BSPT-standard threading on 1/2, 3/4, 1, and 1¼ inch pipes. In particular, the dies are high-speed dies capable of working not only on ordinary pipes but also on stainless steel pipes.

In addition, it boasts user-friendly work versatility and safety through △a lightweight body of 4.8 kg on a bare-tool basis, △a double-sided die head fixing device usable on both sides of the tool, and a trigger with variable speed control. Thanks to these features, it can be used at a variety of worksites where pipe work takes place, such as plumbing, sprinkler systems, and commercial electrical facilities.
