Milwaukee has launched the '18V Brushless Grinder,' which combines a compact form factor with excellent value for money. The product comes in two models, a 4-inch and a 5-inch, both of the slide-switch type.
The 'M18 BLSAG100X (4-inch grinder)' and the 'M18 BLSAG125X (5-inch grinder)' are products upgraded with a more powerful motor. Released with a no-load speed of 11,000 RPM, they are optimized for grinding metal and masonry. With conventional brush motors, the motor could sometimes overheat during heavy work, but upgrading to a brushless motor has improved RPM performance and delivers longer run time and service life. Both products come with an M10 spindle size and include 15mm and 16mm flange nuts. In addition, their compact size is a key feature that reduces operator fatigue. In particular, the slimmer handle provides a comfortable grip, and the bare tool weighs about 1.32 kg; even when fitted with an 18V 5Ah battery, it weighs only about 2 kg, allowing users to stay focused during long jobs. Furthermore, the side handle can be mounted in two positions, on the left and the right, making the tool easier to work with. On top of that, a built-in electronic clutch helps protect the operator from kickback, and overload protection extends the motor's life. Blades can be changed quickly with a tool-free replacement system, and the guard likewise uses a tool-free replacement system for easy and fast changes. The dust filter fitted to the product helps protect it from dust and metal filings.
