Proposing a 3-Step 'Energy-Saving Plant Solution'

Chokwang Paint (CEO Yang Sung-ah) has proposed a total solution that prevents corrosion in plant facilities while adding insulation and heat-shielding functions.

At plant industry sites, safety accidents such as corrosion of steel structures as well as burns and explosions caused by heat are highly sensitive issues. Chokwang Paint has proposed a 3-step 'Energy-Saving Plant Solution' that can address these problems all at once. This solution can apply the three stages of rust prevention, insulation, and heat shielding simultaneously, or each can be coated individually depending on the purpose.

The 'Energy-Saving Plant Solution' proposed by Chokwang Paint is a 3-step solution that prevents rust with 'Rustop Primer,' an anti-corrosion and rust-preventive paint; solves heat loss and condensation problems with 'Everinsul Multi,' an insulation paint; and blocks internal temperature rise by reflecting infrared rays with 'Evercool,' a heat-shielding paint.

▲The anti-corrosion and rust-preventive paint 'Rustop Primer' is a ceramic-based paint that forms a denser coating film than ordinary paints, offering excellent water resistance and rust prevention. It helps prevent CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) and the deterioration of steel structures. In addition, it can be applied without general pretreatment work such as rust removal, shortening the construction period and saving maintenance costs. ▲The insulation paint 'Everinsul Multi' reduces heat loss by preventing heat transfer through its insulating coating layer, providing effects such as condensation prevention and heat retention. It also blocks the external release of heat from inside industrial tanks, preventing safety accidents such as burns to workers, and is being applied to a variety of plant industry facilities. ▲The heat-shielding paint 'Evercool' dramatically prevents internal temperature rise by reflecting the infrared rays of solar heat. By blocking the rise in facility temperature caused by external heat, it can prevent accidents such as odor and gas generation and explosions.

An official at Chokwang Paint said, "These products have proven energy savings of about 30 to 50% when applied, so within about three years the construction cost can be recovered through energy savings alone," adding, "For this reason, we are receiving continued interest from companies that are sensitive to cost reduction and the prevention of safety accidents."
