Haatz, a company specializing in indoor air quality management, announced the launch of its DIY hood ‘Easy Self Dual (ESD-60),’ which creates a modern kitchen atmosphere through easy installation.
This new product is one of the ‘Easy Self’ DIY hood series that Haatz has been offering since 2016, and it delivers upgraded performance by actively reflecting consumer needs regarding airflow and noise.
The new ‘Easy Self Dual’ applies a powerful dual fan motor that allows airflow to be adjusted in three levels, cleanly exhausting the fine dust, various harmful gases, and odors generated during cooking. Despite its powerful suction, it boasts low noise of about 42–58 dB (equivalent to the level of a quiet office or the interior of a car).
Another notable feature is that it can be easily installed using just a few screws and hooks, without any special professional tools. After installing the brackets on both inner sides of the upper cabinet, fix the hooks to the left and right of the hood body with screws, then push the body up into the upper cabinet and slide the product into place, aligning it with the center grooves of the left and right brackets. Finally, connect one end of the duct (the passage through which air flows) to the hood’s exhaust outlet and the other end to the building wall’s exhaust outlet, then fit the filter into the groove on the lower part of the body and plug the power cord into the outlet.
In addition, by using a metal filter that can be cleaned and reused semi-permanently, it effectively reduces the hassle of replacing consumables—unlike ordinary hood filters that must be replaced every three months. A fan motor safety net is included, adding to user safety during cleaning. The color is a sensuous Silver & Black, combining a modern silver frame with a sophisticated black color so that it harmonizes with the kitchen interior and the upper cabinet.
