Hyundai E&C has unveiled 'H Transforming Wall & Furniture II,' which combines motorized storage cabinets with wall-embedded furniture to maximize space utilization.

'H Transforming Wall & Furniture II' is a design product that adds wall-embedded furniture to 'Transforming Wall & Furniture,' the motorized storage cabinet unveiled last year. With the push of a button, a large storage cabinet can be moved, and by operating a remote control to lower a dining table, chairs, or bench that had been embedded in the wall, the same space can be used differently as needed—for example, as a kitchen or home office. For instance, moving the motorized storage cabinet toward the living room creates a large pantry space for storing groceries, kitchenware, and the like. Lowering the flap cabinet and folding bench embedded in the wall then makes it possible to use the space as a home office.

In addition, after moving the motorized storage cabinet toward the kitchen and unfolding the four-person dining table and chairs embedded in the wall, the space transforms into a dining area. A key advantage is the convenience of being able to move the cabinet or unfold and fold the embedded furniture with just the push of a button or the operation of a remote control. In particular, a smart mirror-integrated door installed on the front of the motorized storage cabinet adds a media healthcare function. Users can watch exercise videos on the smart mirror, and a radar sensor measures heart rate, respiration, and more, enabling individuals to check their condition.

Furthermore, because 'H Transforming Wall & Furniture II' involves the movement of large furniture, it is designed to withstand heavy loads toward the living room and is equipped with various safety devices. Guide rails installed on the sides and top of the cabinet prevent it from tipping over, and when the unit is used as a pantry or dining area, a detection sensor activates a locking function to keep the cabinet from moving.

Hyundai E&C plans to debut it as a paid option at Hillstate Deungchon Station, scheduled for sale in the first half of next year, and intends to expand its application to the DH and Hillstate brands going forward.

Meanwhile, 'H Transforming Wall & Furniture II,' developed by Hyundai E&C, was selected as a Good Design (GD) winner at the '2023 Good Design Awards' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy this past September, earning recognition for the design competitiveness of premium residential products. 1577-7755
