KCC has strengthened its metallic paint lineup with the new launch of ‘Supuro Metallic,’ a water-based paint.

Developed under the concept of ‘a paint that looks more like metal than metal itself,’ the product reproduces the distinctive shimmer and texture of metal, making it possible to create striking and sophisticated interior and exterior designs. ‘Supuro Metallic’ was engineered so that the metallic particles contained in the paint catch the light and sparkle, and its IN-CAN1) tinting system allows a wide range of colors to be conveniently produced on site. In addition, its excellent adhesion enables coating on a variety of substrates such as concrete, wood, and wallpaper, while its outstanding weather resistance stands up to outdoor conditions, allowing it to be applied both indoors and outdoors.

In particular, the newly launched ‘Supuro Metallic’ is a one-component water-based paint that can be used immediately without any separate mixing process, making it highly efficient to apply. It can be applied by a variety of methods including brush, roller, and spray, and compared with oil-based paints it has less odor and lower volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, making it suitable for indoor spaces. Moreover, having obtained the Eco-Label certification from the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute under the Ministry of Environment, it is recognized as a product that offers both eco-friendliness and performance.

By introducing ‘Supuro Metallic’ following its existing product ‘Sensetan Fast-Dry Metallic’ and reinforcing its metallic paint lineup, KCC is now able to respond to diverse application environments and consumer needs. ‘Sensetan Fast-Dry Metallic’ is an oil-based metallic paint that has received Indoor Air Quality Pre-Conformity certification; with the powerful adhesion of urethane paint, it can be applied not only to concrete and wood but also to steel, zinc coating, aluminum, stainless steel, and tile, and it can be painted over existing coatings without any problems. KCC’s reinforcement of its metallic paint lineup is aimed at satisfying the increasingly diverse consumer needs in the interior and exterior market. By broadening the range of product choices suited to various sites and substrates, the company aims to encourage consumers who want metallic paints to visit KCC dealers.

Ham Seong-soo, Senior Vice President and Head of KCC’s Distribution Paint Business Division, said, “The launch of the water-based Supuro Metallic expands the options that can contribute to creating refined spaces through synergy with the existing Sensetan Fast-Dry Metallic,” adding, “We plan to continue providing premium architectural finishing solutions by developing customized paints tailored to our customers’ needs.” 02-3480-5000
