KCC Paint has launched ‘Spotan KS Hyper Floor,’ a hybrid paint that offers both waterproofing and flooring performance, and has also completed the filing of its patent application.
KCC Paint’s new product ‘Spotan KS Hyper Floor’ is notable for being the only product in Korea to satisfy the national standard certification (KS) criteria for both a waterproofing material (KS F 3211) and a flooring material (KS F 4937), thereby securing both product competitiveness and quality reliability. In particular, in addition to ‘Spotan,’ KCC Paint maintains a diverse portfolio of oil-based paints to meet a wide range of customer needs. Recently, ‘Uni Epoxy Acid-Resistant Coating,’ a thin-film acid-resistant flooring product, was newly launched. ‘Uni Epoxy Acid-Resistant Coating’ is an efficient epoxy coating paint that can be applied with a roller in spaces requiring acid resistance, such as factory or laboratory floors, and it offers excellent scratch resistance in addition to acid resistance, allowing it to maintain a smooth appearance for a long time. KCC Paint is also preparing to launch ‘Hyper Aspartic Coating.’ ‘Hyper Aspartic Coating’ is a high-strength product with excellent waterproofing performance, and it is a non-yellowing coating paint that can be applied with a roller. It has the advantage of being easier to apply than polyurea paints, which require dedicated equipment and skilled workers, and it can be applied to both the interior and exterior of buildings and maintained without yellowing. In addition, ‘Royal Enamel’ and ‘Royal Wood,’ which incorporate KCC Paint’s Water-in-Oil technology, are receiving steady consumer interest thanks to their excellent physical properties and relatively low odor compared to conventional oil-based paints.
A KCC official stated, “The new product ‘Spotan KS Hyper Floor’ is expected to be applicable at various sites, not only enhancing the durability and quality of buildings through its outstanding physical properties and excellent product competitiveness, but also delivering construction cost savings,” adding, “KCC plans to continue launching a variety of high-functionality products that consider consumer needs and convenience by leveraging its advanced technology and expertise.”
