Based on 'Mitone,' KCC's flagship ceiling material, 'Mitone Sky' delivers an effective sound-absorbing effect without requiring installation across the entire ceiling. By combining premium materials with innovative design, the new 'Mitone Sky' is expected to set a new standard that elevates the quality and value of diverse spaces such as cafés and offices.
KCC 'Mitone Sky' is made by applying glass tissue—used in premium ceiling materials—to the surface of a base board whose main raw material is mineral wool. Its greatest feature is the way it secures sound absorption together with a sophisticated, fresh fiber texture. In particular, the product was developed using 'Claudia,' KCC's ceiling material that achieves an NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient—a value that quantifies how effectively a building material reduces noise, measured between 0 and 1, with values closer to 1 indicating superior noise reduction) value of 0.5. It effectively improves sound reverberation and enhances acoustic effects to provide a pleasant sound environment. In addition, the new product is manufactured in a modular form, allowing anyone to install it easily and quickly, and enabling easy partial replacement in the event of a defect. As a result, it offers the advantage of being easily added without having to work on existing exposed concrete or an already-finished ceiling in its entirety. In terms of interior design, it is available in a variety of designs and colors that add a sense of luxury and refinement, allowing it to harmonize with the overall space. Furthermore, it can be customized to internal environmental conditions and user preferences—such as lighting fixtures or ceiling-mounted air conditioners—which is expected to make it even more versatile.
In particular, the new 'Mitone Sky' allows a choice of frames that can add accent colors, as well as a non-frame type with a clean, frameless design. Depending on the installation method, a variety of effects are possible: ▲a wire type that can create the look of clouds floating in the sky, ▲a profile type that can be used even on ceilings with low floor-to-ceiling heights, ▲and a vertical type that can add accent design to the ceiling.

Applying it to large franchise cafés—where indoor noise is a prominent issue—as well as food courts, conference rooms, and lobbies can create a more pleasant and comfortable space," adding, "In particular, because it can be installed partially rather than across the entire ceiling, the burden of construction is low, which is a major advantage in offering customers more opportunities and reflecting their diverse needs."
