Global lighting company LEDVANCE Korea announced the launch of the 'LEDVANCE Slim Downlight,' an LED luminaire that delivers high luminous efficacy and uniform light.

The new product replaces traditional compact fluorescent lamps as an indoor recessed LED downlight with an integrated driver, and it comes in three types: 3-inch (5W), 4-inch (7W), and 4.5-inch (9W). It features high-performance LED light sources that achieve high luminous efficacy of up to 80 lm/W. In addition, its optimized optical design provides high light uniformity and evenly diffuses light up to a 110-degree angle. As a Flicker Free product that eliminates flickering, it keeps the eyes comfortable even during extended use.

The new product is released as a slim type with a lower fixture height than existing LEDVANCE downlights, making it possible to install even in low-ceiling spaces. Thanks to this, it can be widely applied not only in residential spaces but also in commercial spaces such as shopping malls, restaurants, and offices.

It is also simple to use and install. With integrated control gear, it can be connected directly to AC power for use, and by utilizing the provided terminal block, it can be easily installed by yourself without professional assistance.

In addition, with an excellent color rendering index of 80, it provides colors close to natural light (sunlight). The 3-inch and 4-inch models offer three light colors (3000K/4000K/6500K), while the 4.5-inch model offers two light colors (4000K/6500K). The new product has a lifespan of 15,000 hours and consumes 50% less energy compared to compact fluorescent lamps.

A LEDVANCE official said, "As demand for modern interiors has recently grown, downlights—which have the effect of making a space appear larger—are drawing even more attention," adding, "The LEDVANCE Slim Downlight, with its even slimmer design, can be easily installed even in spaces that had limitations, while at the same time its high luminous efficacy helps reduce electricity bills."
