LX Hausys has launched a new furniture board product, 'LX Z:IN Board BORTE.'

A furniture board is a product consisting of a film applied to MDF (medium-density fiberboard), and is used for kitchen and living room furniture doors. Until now, furniture manufacturers have produced furniture by separately applying film to MDF, but as they have recently come to prefer board-type products that reduce production time, LX Hausys has introduced this new product. The new product 'BORTE' is a premium furniture board made by applying PET film to MDF made from domestic pine solid wood, boasting outstanding durability, eco-friendliness, and a refined design. In particular, 'BORTE' applies PET film treated with LX Hausys's own differentiated SMR (Supermatt Resist) coating technology to MDF, achieving a low-gloss surface texture that looks as if it has been painted, while also being resistant to scratches and everyday stains and preventing fingerprints and other hand marks from showing. In fact, the PET film applied to 'BORTE' was tested by CATAS, an accredited testing institution in Italy, and earned test reports certifying that it meets the demanding European (EN) standards in two categories—scratch resistance and stain resistance—thereby proving its performance. In addition, the new product 'BORTE' secures eco-friendliness by using MDF made from domestic pine solid wood that has earned a superior grade (E0) for hazardous substance emissions, and is being released at a level stricter (0.4 mg/L or less) than the E0-grade formaldehyde emission standard (0.5 mg/L). LX Hausys's new furniture board 'BORTE' is offered in 48 color designs reflecting the latest furniture trends, including designs that combine colors that subtly shift depending on the viewing angle with three-dimensional embossing.
