LX Hausys has launched 'FENEST,' a premium aluminum system window and door product.

'FENEST' is a compound of the German word 'Fenster,' meaning window, and '-est,' the English superlative suffix, conveying the meaning of 'perfecting the ultimate window.' In the first half of last year, LX Hausys signed a business agreement with Belgium's Reynaers, one of the world's top 3 aluminum window and door companies, and the two have collaborated to develop system windows and doors optimized for the domestic market. After roughly a year of cooperation, they have now unveiled 'FENEST.' Compared with existing domestic aluminum system window and door products, 'FENEST' stands out most for introducing various opening methods suited to architectural design, such as center opening and corner opening, and for enabling the production of ultra-large windows up to approximately 4m in height.

In addition, unlike conventional system windows and doors, 'FENEST' offers a choice of various opening methods, including ▲horizontal linked opening, in which up to six sashes can be linked to open and close together, ▲center opening, which opens and closes from the center of the window to both sides, and ▲corner opening, which allows opening and closing from the center of a corner to both sides even where sashes meet at the corner of a building. In particular, its ability to provide 90-degree in/out corner opening from the center of a corner to both sides—even where sashes meet at the corner of an 'L'- or angular-shaped building—is expected not only to offer users the ultimate sense of openness but also to help architects realize more creative buildings. Furthermore, 'FENEST' can be produced as an ultra-large window up to approximately 4m in height, and the window frames can be recessed into the floor and ceiling, maximizing openness and views to the point of creating the illusion that the window is composed entirely of glass. On top of this, various features and accessories—such as an automatic opening function using an electric motor, a variety of handle designs, and frame thicknesses—can be selected according to the homeowner's taste and needs, and the product is expected to prove highly popular in the high-end window and door market.

An LX Hausys official said, "As demand for high-end system windows and doors is gradually increasing in line with the recent trend toward premium luxury townhouses, villas, hotels, and resorts, we introduced 'FENEST' to strengthen our push into this market," adding, "Going forward, we will focus our sales activities on developers, architectural design firms, and construction companies, and grow FENEST into Korea's leading system window and door brand." 080-005-4000
