Earned 'Pet Product Safety Certification' in consideration of the growing number of pet-owning households
LX Hausys has launched a new flooring product, 'LX Z:IN Flooring EDITONE MARU,' offering greater durability and thermal conductivity than conventional wood flooring.
'EDITONE MARU' is a new flooring product in the 'EDITONE Series,' which features 'Natural Stone Core' (a board made by compressing natural stone powder and polymer resin under high temperature and high pressure), a high-strength material developed in-house by LX Hausys. Unlike conventional wood flooring, the new 'EDITONE MARU' applies the 'Natural Stone Core' material to the product's core layer instead of wood plywood, and layers a high-resolution flooring design on top, maintaining the look of conventional wood flooring while improving on flooring's biggest drawback—dent damage. In fact, in an impact resistance test conducted in accordance with the KS standard (KS F 2221), when objects such as a steel ball and a knife were dropped from a height of 1 m, 'EDITONE MARU' showed no dents or gouges, unlike the company's own laminated flooring (7.5T), which had dent marks. In addition, 'EDITONE MARU' boasts high thermal conductivity optimized for Korea's residential environment, which centers on ondol radiant floor heating and floor-seated living. In a thermal conductivity test conducted by the Korea Construction Materials Institute for Certification (KCMIC), an accredited testing agency, 'EDITONE MARU' recorded thermal conductivity roughly 4 times higher than the company's laminated flooring. Furthermore, in consideration of the rapidly increasing number of pet-owning households, the new product also earned 'Pet Product Safety Certification (PS Certification).' The 'Pet Product Safety Certification' is granted only to products that pass safety standards, such as hazardous substance content limits, designated by the Korea Kennel Club and KOTITI Testing & Research Institute.
In addition, LX Hausys' new 'EDITONE MARU' applies LX Hausys' own special surface treatment technologies (True Matte, True View), including matte surface finishing and digital printing, realizing a more refined and luxurious natural wood design and texture than laminated flooring. It is available in a total of 12 wood patterns reflecting the latest trends, including ▲Clean Ash ▲Mill Grey ▲Saddler Oak ▲Natural Sand ▲Nuts Brown ▲Blonde Oak ▲Breeze Oak ▲Chiffon Oak ▲European Wood.
