LX Hausys has launched a 2024 renewal of its ‘LX Z:IN Flooring House’ series of residential tile flooring.

Unlike sheet flooring (rolled vinyl), which is installed in roll form, tile flooring is installed by joining individual square tiles together. Until now it has been used mainly in commercial spaces such as hotels and resorts, but demand has been gradually rising as more consumers seek to decorate their homes like hotels. Compared with ceramic tile, engineered hardwood, and epoxy, tile flooring is relatively inexpensive and can cover large areas in a short time, saving both construction time and cost. It can be easily purchased online, making self-installation possible, and simple repairs can even be done DIY, which helps reduce maintenance costs over the long term. Recently, the range of designs has also expanded, giving consumers a wider selection.

The ‘House’ series, made up of ‘House’ and ‘House Style,’ has been consistently loved since its launch in 2018 for its high thermal conductivity—specialized for Korea’s underfloor-heating residential environment—and its reasonable price point. In this renewal, LX Hausys’s own in-house matte-finish technology has been newly applied to the surface layer, reducing the glossy sheen characteristic of conventional tile flooring and maximizing a premium design with a look similar to real natural materials such as wood and marble.

In particular, the ‘House’ series offers thermal conductivity roughly twice as high as the company’s plywood flooring, securing high thermal conductivity optimized for Korea’s residential environment where underfloor heating is preferred, while a proprietary, in-house-developed dedicated adhesive minimizes deformation caused by changes in floor temperature. In addition, the ‘House’ series reduces the content and emission of harmful substances, earning ‘FloorScore,’ the U.S. indoor air quality certification standard recognized as an authority in the global market, thereby also securing eco-friendliness. On top of this, ‘House Style’ can be installed as an overlay directly on top of existing floorboards without removing them, further enhancing installation convenience.

Meanwhile, LX Hausys also unveiled a renewed version of ‘ECONO PLUS,’ its tile flooring for commercial spaces. The ECONO PLUS deco tile features a high-strength surface coating containing metal that effectively reduces everyday scratches, and its surface is coated so that stains can be easily wiped off when soiled, adding to ease of maintenance. As a product for commercial spaces such as hotels and resorts, it applies a scratch-resistant, high-strength surface coating to enhance durability, and it is gaining popularity with a lineup of more than 100 diverse design patterns including stone, carpet, and wood.

An LX Hausys official said, “As interest in tile flooring has been growing recently in Korea’s flooring market, where sheet and wood flooring dominate, we expect the ‘House’ series to be very popular among customers preparing for autumn remodeling.”
