Signify Korea has officially launched the Philips Hue Play Gradient LightStrip in Korea.

Unlike ordinary lighting that simply provides illumination, Philips Hue is a premium LED smart lighting system that expands the entertainment experience by letting users control the brightness and color of the lights via smartphones, tablets, and more. The newly launched Philips Hue Play Gradient LightStrip is a TV-dedicated lightstrip featuring a gradient light effect with 16 million colors that delivers natural light diffusion and perfect color blending.

Not only can lights of multiple colors be displayed simultaneously on a single LED strip, but when used together with the Philips Hue Sync Box, they sync to the video and sound of the content on the TV screen. This lets you vividly enjoy a wide range of content such as movies and games, and its 45-degree light projection feature in particular delivers an even more immersive entertainment experience. It comes in two sizes, 55-inch (55–60 inches) and 65-inch (65–70 inches), and is designed for easy attachment to the back of the TV using the included bracket.

Kang Yong-nam, President of Signify Northeast Asia, said, “I am delighted to announce the official domestic launch of the Philips Hue Play Gradient LightStrip, which many Korean consumers have been eagerly awaiting,” adding, “I hope you can enjoy a wide range of entertainment such as movies and games even more vividly with the Hue Play Gradient LightStrip, which provides a high level of immersion through more refined surround lighting effects.”

Meanwhile, to celebrate the launch of the Philips Hue Play Gradient LightStrip, Signify Korea partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment Korea Inc. to open a pop-up store at The Hyundai Seoul department store from April 21 to April 30, drawing a positive response from consumers. 1670-6147
