COBIHOUSE has launched its 'VR Homage Series-VR Zombie' content—rather than a conventional space design—and is holding a contest to celebrate.

'VR Zombie,' the second everyday hobby VR content released by COBIHOUSE, lets users create and experience iconic scenes from movies and dramas firsthand using a variety of 3D zombie-related content. For example, using COBIHOUSE VR, a VR production app, users can recreate a scene from films such as 'Train to Busan' and 'Seoul Station,' or build a virtual-reality scene that pays homage to or parodies a moment from 'Kingdom,' the drama that pioneered a new genre known worldwide as 'K-zombie.'

In particular, the newly launched 'VR Zombie' series pays close attention to 3D content props, providing items such as fortresses, walls, and weapons, as well as the 'gat' (traditional hat) that became a talking point in 'Kingdom,' allowing for a more realistic setting. It also features the ability to create and use themed zombies such as scholars, magistrates, court officials, and military officers, so users can direct large-scale battle scenes like those seen in 'Kingdom' in VR themselves. Scenes directed this way can be converted into 360 VR content in real time and shared on COBIHOUSE and various social media platforms.

In addition, this contest is the second to be held following the 2019 horror-film homage contest. Users who direct zombie-concept works in their own style within the COBIHOUSE VR app and share them on the COBIHOUSE app will receive prizes such as AirPods Pro and Paik's Coffee gift certificates. The contest runs until June 21.

Jang Ho-hyun, CEO of Korea Virtual Reality, said, "In 2020, following Cat VR Butler and 360 VR, VR Zombie is our third event delivered through a major update, allowing us to keep our promise of providing VR content that users can enjoy in various ways in their daily lives," adding, "We will spare no effort in making various attempts to popularize VR going forward."

Meanwhile, COBIHOUSE, an interior design platform, brings together material suppliers, interior design companies, and consumers alike. In a VR space, consumers can decorate interiors in a game-like manner using wallpaper, flooring, furniture, and props, and share their finished spaces with family or other users through various social media platforms such as Facebook and KakaoStory. 1644-4932
