Korea Virtual Reality is launching an app for 'Kobi House,' a virtual reality (VR) interior platform service.
Kobi House is an interior platform service in which 'users,' 'interior firms,' and 'material suppliers' all take part. It is a service that lets users design their own spaces in VR—in a game-like way—using material items provided by material suppliers, and share the designed spaces with family members or other users.
For those living in an apartment or preparing to move, the service provides floor plans for roughly 80,000 apartments nationwide, so users can bring their actual apartment into a VR space and design it. In the case of moving, users can check furniture arrangements in VR, or provide the moving company with a VR space in which the furniture layout has been completed—which is expected to reduce confusion over furniture placement on moving day.
In addition, for new apartments that have no available floor plan, the service offers an 'Apartment Floor Plan Request' feature through which users can receive a plan. A map-based search service that connects users with interior firms is also provided, making it easy to find interior firms in a desired area and, if needed, to seek free consultation or request an estimate or construction work.
The interior firms shown in search results are firms that meet the standards set by Kobi House, ensuring reliability; by making it possible to review portfolios such as construction examples and to verify company information, the service enhances the transparency of information.
