DK Board has unveiled 'DK Board,' a fire-resistant semi-non-combustible EPS insulation material.
EPS (expanded polystyrene), generally referred to as 'styrofoam,' is commonly known as a building material highly vulnerable to fire. However, DK Board is a patent-pending product that turns styrofoam into a semi-non-combustible insulation material through special flame-retardant liquid coating and application technology.
Recently, flame-retardant performance and insulation standards to ensure building safety have been significantly strengthened—for instance, non-combustible or semi-non-combustible finishing materials must be used on the exterior of buildings six stories or higher. In line with this trend, 'DK Board' is receiving a favorable response from consumers.
DK Board's 'Semi-Non-Combustible DK Board' achieves a thermal conductivity of 0.033 W/mK, securing the best performance among domestically mass-produced semi-non-combustible EPS insulation materials for construction. Above all, 'DK Board' offers excellent flame-retardant performance that makes it easy to prevent fire from spreading, along with the advantage of low toxic gas emission in the event of a fire. In addition, it uses eco-friendly water-based materials that are safe for the human body, and its excellent fusion properties provide high thermal conductivity, moisture resistance, and durability.
