Sugatsune, a leader in the premium hardware market, has unveiled its door damper series ‘LDD-S’, ‘LDD-V’, and ‘LDD-V100’—featuring differentiated functionality and durability—drawing attention from the domestic interior industry.

Sugatsune’s new ‘LDD Series’ provides a damping function that softens the impact when closing a door, allowing for smooth and quiet opening and closing. In particular, when the door is opened the arm detaches, so the door can be opened and closed more lightly than when using a door closer—another advantage that enhances user convenience.

The ‘LDD-S’ is a surface-mount type that can be used on already-installed doors. It can be used on doors weighing up to 40 kg, and the damping force can be adjusted after installation. The ‘LDD-V’ and ‘LDD-V100’ are concealed types that, through a process of routing out the material and embedding the product, achieve a sleek design that does not detract from the appearance even after installation. In particular, the ‘LDD-V’ type, like the ‘S’ type, can be installed on doors weighing up to 40 kg and allows the damping force to be adjusted after installation. The ‘V100’ type can be installed on large and heavy doors weighing 40–100 kg.

In addition, the ‘LDD Series’ products have passed the company’s own 100,000-cycle opening-and-closing test, so the damper function does not deform even with repeated opening and closing, and the products’ long service life helps reduce maintenance costs.

A Sugatsune representative said, “The LDD door damper series, which applies Sugatsune’s precision machining technology, is expected to see strong demand among Korean consumers who want quiet and smooth door operation—especially in premium built-in furniture, hotels, offices, and high-end residential spaces.”

Meanwhile, Sugatsune’s door dampers have been recognized for their performance and design, winning the Good Design Award and the Red Dot Award. For more information about the products, visit the Sugatsune Korea website (global.sugatsune.com/kr/kr/arch). 032-220-0603
