Jayeon & Hyejong has launched and unveiled the ‘magnetic’ flooring for access floors from the Italian company PROPARQ.

An access floor generally refers to a raised, dual-floor structure that allows the floor finishing panels to be lifted out, making it easy to operate mechanical and electrical equipment. Because it involves laying a steel framework of a certain height on the floor and installing the flooring on top of it, wiring and cabling can be routed beneath the floor, enabling a clean and safe office environment. It is therefore widely applied mainly in computer rooms, broadcasting stations, and laboratories, where a great deal of wiring work is required.

The strength of the ‘magnetic’ flooring introduced by Jayeon & Hyejong is that it is extremely convenient to install, as it retains a luxurious wood pattern while featuring a detachable design that attaches and detaches like a magnet, without adhesive. Because of this, even when defects occur, only the affected section can be lifted to resolve the issue, and it can also be relocated with ease. Until now, access floors have had design limitations, with carpet tile formats accounting for the majority due to the nature of the product. By contrast, the ‘magnetic’ flooring can apply all the patterns and colors of ordinary flooring, so after installation it can create a space with a luxurious feel just like ordinary imported flooring. In addition, it offers a variety of sizes such as 140㎜, 185㎜, and 200㎜, and its advantage is that wide-plank installation is also possible.

A representative of Jayeon & Hyejong stated, “Magnetic can be installed without adhesive, making it eco-friendly, and with a design just like ordinary flooring it enables a luxurious yet differentiated space,” adding, “We expect it will bring very high satisfaction to consumers who want a luxurious flooring style in computer rooms, broadcasting stations, hospitals, and various office spaces equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.”
