Zigbang, one of Korea's leading proptech companies, is reshaping the landscape of apartment access systems with the launch of its new AI lobby phone, 'Alpha (ZH-L70).'

Zigbang announced that it has unveiled 'Alpha,' a smart lobby phone that opens a building's main entrance through AI facial recognition. It is the company's second passwordless security device, following the AI door lock 'Haven' released this past January. The new 'Alpha' allows residents to enter the main entrance using facial recognition alone, without a numeric keypad or access card, and its display-centered circular design enhances its aesthetic appeal. Conventional numeric-input lobby phones have long been criticized for security problems caused by password leaks. The AI lobby phone 'Alpha' boldly eliminates the numeric keypad used for passwords and strengthens security by adopting AI biometric authentication and integration with a dedicated smartphone app. In particular, its AI facial recognition and voice recognition functions ensure reliability with industry-leading technology, while public key infrastructure (PKI) asymmetric encryption is applied to eliminate the risk of personal information leaks. In addition to facial recognition, residents can also enter using the mobile key tag in the 'Zigbang Smart Home App.' The app also provides visitor management features such as remote door opening and video calls. When a visitor states the building and unit number to the lobby phone, the AI recognizes the voice and connects to the resident's smartphone app. Residents can also issue a QR pass or temporary password by specifying a visitor's access period or time. Depending on the complex where it is installed, the system also offers functions such as viewing notices, submitting inquiries, reserving community facilities, smart parking services, and electronic voting, so users can access everything they need for daily life within the complex through the single 'Zigbang Smart Home App,' without having to switch between multiple apps. The 'Zigbang Smart Home App' has been developed as an AIoT platform that can integrate not only with Zigbang's AI door locks and lobby phones but also with a variety of smart devices. The goal is to gradually roll out smart home features tailored to each resident's individual lifestyle.

Ahn Sung-woo, CEO of Zigbang, said, "The Alpha lobby phone is a device that will change the paradigm of main-entrance access," adding, "Through our AIoT-based smart home platform, we will continue to provide services that ensure both the safety and convenience of residents."

Meanwhile, Zigbang recently installed 'Alpha' for the first time at the Kyeongnam Honorsville Phase 2 complex in Beodeulchi Village, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, where it received favorable reviews. The complex also introduced a cloud-based administrator solution, enabling external visitor management, real-time security updates, and remote after-sales service. Zigbang also plans to unveil an 'AI security office' capable of 24-hour response in the future. 1588-4141
