Festool Korea, the premium German power tool brand, announced the official launch in the Korean market of the ‘Cordless DOMINO DFC 500,’ the newest evolution of the DOMINO system that has been loved by work professionals around the world.

The new ‘DFC 500’ is the first in the DOMINO series to adopt cordless (18V battery) operation, dramatically enhancing mobility and work efficiency. First unveiled worldwide by Festool in 2006, the ‘DOMINO series’ of power hand tools applies Festool’s patented technology that machines traditional loose-tenon-style pins so they interlock without gaps when assembling panels, and it is regarded as an innovative woodworking solution that simultaneously delivers fast assembly, high strength, and precise alignment. Like the corded model, it can machine DOMINO pin holes in thicknesses ranging from 4 mm to 10 mm in diameter and up to 28 mm deep, and like other Festool 18V products, it enables simple, clean work through Bluetooth pairing with a Festool mobile dust extractor—evolving into a mobile system that can be used anywhere. In addition, the stopper system performance of the ‘DFC 500’ has been improved compared to the previous corded model. Whereas the corded product (DF 500) offered two stopper reference points that could set the center of the machining position at 37 mm left/right from the edge without markings, this has been expanded to four positions at 37 mm and 22.5 mm, and the addition of a locking function has improved productivity and usability in repetitive work. Furthermore, it is fully compatible with existing bits and accessories for the ‘DF 500,’ so existing users can start working right away. As a cordless product with enhanced mobility, it also makes the use of the dedicated DOMINO Connector—hardware that allows furniture parts to be easily joined and separated without screws or clamps—even more convenient, so it can be used as a solution optimized for modular furniture, on-site assembled furniture, and custom interior production.

A Festool Korea representative said, “Launched as a cordless product, the DFC 500 goes beyond the limitations of traditional wood joinery methods to satisfy accuracy, joint strength, and productivity, and it can become the standard for high-end furniture assembly work in Korea,” adding, “Through its no-marking-capable stopper and modular connector system, we expect it to help professional workers simultaneously raise both the efficiency and quality of their on-site installation work.”

Meanwhile, Festool’s Cordless DOMINO DFC 500 is available for purchase through official Festool authorized dealers nationwide, and comes with a 3-year free repair warranty service. 02-6022-6740
