Hyundai L&C has launched 'Soljium 5.0,' a premium sound-insulating flooring with a reinforced cushion layer compared to previous products.
'Soljium 5.0' is a 5㎜-thick product, distinguished by an added 0.5㎜ of thickness over the previous 'Soljium 4.5.' In the new 'Soljium 5.0,' a high-elasticity premium cushion layer accounts for about 70% of the total thickness, providing excellent reduction of inter-floor noise and everyday living noise, while absorbing impact during walking for superior underfoot comfort. In addition, it is highly durable and resistant to scratches, dents, and the like, and the added anti-slip function in particular helps ease concerns about children and the elderly slipping or falling while walking.
The new 'Soljium 5.0' is also optimized for pet-owning households. Thanks to the product's few seams, it does not readily absorb pet accidents, and through features such as the high-elasticity cushion layer and anti-slip function, it also protects against conditions pets suffer from, such as patellar luxation. On the strength of these advantages, 'Soljium 5.0' has even earned 'PS (Pet Safety) certification,' which is granted to products safe for pets.
The value of 'Soljium 5.0' also stands out as an environmentally friendly flooring. 'Soljium 5.0' is made from 100% pure raw materials rather than materials blended with waste. During manufacturing, hot-air treatment is applied to remove volatile organic compounds that may remain in the raw materials, and it emits low levels of formaldehyde and organic compounds—substances that cause sick-house syndrome—thereby meeting the eco-label certification standards. Furthermore, none of the four major heavy metals or phthalate plasticizers were detected, and it is also equipped with an antibacterial function that helps prevent commonly encountered bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and pneumococcus.
Hyundai L&C's new 'Soljium 5.0' comes in a total of 11 patterns: 4 square-format stone & marble designs including ▲Sage Marble and ▲Mild Travertine, and 7 rectangular-format wood designs including ▲Mocha Ash and ▲Pale Ash. In particular, by minimizing the repetition of the unit pattern compared to previous products, it creates the effect of making a space look more spacious, and its distinctive three-dimensional synchronized emboss (a technology in which the design and the surface embossing align to render texture realistically) delivers a surface texture that feels much closer to the real material.
