2024 Neighbor-Helping Meritorious Contributors Awards Ceremony
Social contributions including donations and grain support

Dongwha Enterprise (CEO Chae Kwang-byung) announced that it received the 'Incheon Metropolitan Mayor's Award' at the 2024 Neighbor-Helping Meritorious Contributors Awards Ceremony hosted by the Community Chest of Incheon on October 21.
Dongwha Enterprise was recognized for its contributions in carrying out various social contribution activities, such as donations, to continuously help underprivileged neighbors each year. The Community Chest of Incheon realizes the value of neighborly sharing by selecting and recognizing corporations, organizations, and individuals that have actively conducted social contribution activities each year.
Since 2012, Dongwha Enterprise has carried out a variety of activities to support vulnerable groups, including making donations to Incheon's Seo-gu and Jung-gu districts. In particular, the company has striven to realize the value of neighborly sharing, such as by providing grain to low-income households during each holiday season. An official from Dongwha Enterprise said, "We find it deeply meaningful that this award recognizes the social contribution efforts Dongwha Enterprise has consistently pursued," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to take great interest in the local community and strive to develop ways to achieve mutual prosperity."
Meanwhile, Dongwha Enterprise, founded in 1948, is a global company operating board and chemical businesses. It leads the domestic board market by producing medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board (PB), and it entered the building materials business by establishing Korea's first laminate flooring plant, achieving vertical integration of its business through the production of high-value-added products. Since the 2000s, it has expanded overseas in earnest, establishing itself as a global leader in the industry.
