International Proficiency Testing
SK magic (CEO Kim Wan-sung) has once again demonstrated world-class water quality analysis capabilities.
SK magic announced that its Environmental Analysis Center has been selected as a 'Laboratory of Excellence' for the sixth consecutive year in the international proficiency testing for the drinking water field organized by the Environmental Resource Associates (ERA) of the United States.
International proficiency testing is an internationally accredited evaluation program conducted annually by the Environmental Resource Associates (ERA), a world-renowned proficiency testing operator, in which some 200 analysis institutions worldwide participate and undergo a comprehensive evaluation of the reliability and accuracy of their analytical data.
Participating in the drinking water field, SK magic's Environmental Analysis Center received the highest rating of 'Satisfactory' in all 17 evaluation items—including 5 types of heavy metals, 4 types of anions, 5 types of organic compounds, and 3 general items—once again proving its world-class measurement and analysis capabilities for drinking water quality testing. In April, it received a 'Suitable' rating for the fifth consecutive year in the domestic drinking water proficiency testing organized by the National Institute of Environmental Research under the Ministry of Environment, being recognized as an excellent accredited institution with outstanding water quality analysis capabilities in the microbiology field as well, including fecal streptococci, Salmonella, and Shigella.
The Environmental Analysis Center, which serves as a technology research institute and a dedicated organization specializing in environmental analysis, is a 'drinking water quality testing accredited institution' designated by the Han River Basin Environmental Office under the Ministry of Environment, and first opened at the Hwaseong plant—a core production base—in 2019. While performing its role as an accredited institution for water quality testing of drinking water, bottled spring water, groundwater, and raw water sources, it also participates in the analysis of environmentally hazardous substances such as water quality and air quality, as well as in the development of various hygiene-related technologies and products, with the goal of providing customers with total care solutions.
