Artist Choo Mi-rim Creates Pixel Art
KCC Paint has been reborn as street art (a floor mural) created by a renowned artist on the streets of Hongdae. KCC Paint's 'Senstan' was used to create the street art at the Red Road Power Plant Plaza near Hongik University.
The street art project was carried out as part of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's 'Playable Seoul' initiative, a program that provides experiential tourism content packed with things to enjoy in everyday urban spaces. It was designed to decorate the plaza with the work of a renowned artist, offering domestic and international tourists visiting the streets of Hongdae 'art encountered on the street.'
Artist Choo Mi-rim, who has drawn attention for her participation in major projects at home and abroad, used KCC Paint to transform the everyday space of the ground not into a work that overwhelms it, but one that seeps into it. Under the theme 'Pixel Air,' the artist painted a variety of images across a total area of 300㎡ using pixel art, her signature working method.
KCC Paint is used in various works of art, including graffiti, thanks to its wide range of colors, excellent application quality, and outstanding durability. For this street art project as well, ten colors of Senstan were used as the artist created her striking work. Senstan can be easily applied by anyone, even without professional paint-coating knowledge, and offers excellent coating strength and waterproofing, strong resistance to outdoor exposure, and outstanding adhesion.
KCC continues to pursue such diverse cultural marketing efforts in order to build a friendly and warm image among the people who encounter KCC Paint through various works of art and social contribution activities, while naturally raising the product's recognition and reliability.
